Let’s talk about vegetables for a second…..(trust the process)….we are going to compare a carrot to a radish for a minute: a radish is red on the outside, but white on the inside. A carrot is orange on the outside and orange on the inside. 

How does this pertain to selecting easy to clean carpet?  It’s all in the yarn! Traditionally, carpet yarn starts out colorless then dye is added to it. Today, we can offer solution-dyed yarn where the color is added into the polymer melt before it becomes the final yarn.

The traditional yarn is the radish. You try to get a stain out, and you may pull out the color too. The Solution-dyed yarn is the carrot. It will be the same color all the way through, and you can clean with confidence that you won’t pull out the color. This makes a solution dyed polyester carpet the easiest to clean carpet on the planet. There are many varieties of patented yarn technology in this category, but we will leave that for another blog.
